Test automation comes in handy when hardware and software need to be tested manually on a repeated basis. EMERALT@TestAutomation offers you an encompassing testing system that will enable you to carry out hard and software tests automatically e.g. over night or the weekend, without the presence of any of your staff necessary. All-In-One-System Solution

Activation as well as coordination of the test interfaces will be carried out by the EMERALT-Server. Sutiable test and analysis devices can be integrated to control and analyse test environment parameters or the test object itself.

In other words, the entire test process is being handled and controlled by the EMERALT Server. The server is responsible for the execution of test scenarios and invidual test situations are set up by the integrated tool EMERALT-GUI. The two components are interconnected by a platform-independent standardized communication protocoll called CORBA.

User interface

EMERALT-GUI features an embedded editor enabling the user to create customized test sequences. The required test instructions with individual test parameters can be entered with the platform independent EMERALT User Interface. It can run on the same machine or on a different computer (e.g. a laptop) and communicate with the server via network. All configurations can be stored and reloaded at any given time, so multiple entry of frequently used configurations is superfluous.

Reporting

All test results will automatically be recorded by the EMERALT-Server and issued in the form of a central test report in ASCII-Format. Data that are not intended for being displayed or data going into to much detail such as network communication are also being collected by the server in log files.
